Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans are a Western Wear icon. The Cowboy Cut jean was built to the detailed specifications of top rodeo athletes with features designed for riding - but great for every cowboy - including heavyweight denims, rivets on all pockets, strong double stitched outseams, and higher positioned back pockets. These 31MWZ Cowboy Cut Wrangler jeans feature the rigid jean look every cowboy can appreciate. This 31MWZ denim jean has a roomier seat & thigh than the 13MWZ jean. Jeans sit comfortably at waist. Button waist and zipper fly. Traditional five-pocket styling. Rivets & "W" stitching on back pockets. Imported. Most denim fabric is heavily starched before being cut and sewn into denim jeans. This starch isn’t washed or treated out of "rigid" denim jeans - giving them a crisp finish and unaltered fit that many a cowboy swear by. Rigid jeans soften and may slim down a bit with repeated washing and wear. The quality rigid jean is a smart buy since itÆs less expensive than its pre-washed jean fit counterpart. The reasonably priced rigid denim jean sports a handsome, dark denim color that cowboys, and city guys alike, can appreciate without dipping deep into their pocketbooks.

Note: Wrangler rigid jeans may arrive slightly longer than requested. This is to compensate for shrinkage after initial washing.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 91 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value Great quality and fit. Starches well. Not initially as soft as relaxed fit pre-wash but after a couple of washings can't tell a difference. August 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rigid to Comfortable After three consecutive washings and ample softener in the washing machine, these jeans were ready to wear. As advertised, they are longer to compensate for shrinkage; however just right after drying on high heat. Great jeans for work or casual play. For the intial washings, I suggest you place some dark towels or other dark clothing in the mix to avoid abraiding the highly starched jeans, if you wash more than one new jeans together. After third wash, release of blue dye was not noticed. Love the rivets, rugged design, and ample pocket space. I like the way these jeans fit at the waist. May 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product & service are Great I received the right product at a good price and in a very timely manner. With spring gardening going on, I really needed these jeans and there were no delays in getting them to me. May 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 31 MWZ Jeans Good quality product, well made from high spec material. Hard wearing ideal for workwear April 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by wrangler jeans i have gone to wrangler jeans exclusively as my only comfortable jeans i used to wear another very popular brand but for some reason i can't have my wallet in my pocket as it is very uncomfortable. not so with wranglers . April 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 31mwz love these jeans i have converted from the 13mwz. cant go wrong with the relaxed fit Mate. cheers Wrangler for your hard, tough and comfy work wear. Coxy March 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Wranglers Great fit, great price you can not go wrong with this deal. March 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by 31 MWZ relaxed fit jeans These are a great pair of jeans and I have worn this item for years. I had a bout of cancer this past summer and lost more weight that I realised. The jeans are far too loose so sent them back and ordered a slimmer fit. February 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wrangler jeans Didnt like these particular jeans they are very stiff and my husband says a little uncomfortable January 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Permanent Unpressed... In almost 50 years, I have never had a pair of jeans that required ironing until this pair. After several attempts to wash and dry them without having them come out in a "wad", I have given them to Goodwill. Had this been my first purchace from Sheplers or from Wranglers, I would never buy either again; fortunately, this was my only disappointment to date. January 2, 2013

Ordering size

How much do these jeans shrink? If I measure out at 38X34 what size should I order to allow for shrinkage? Or my son who measures at 38X32 what size should he order?

Please and thank you,
Merry Christmas

Answer:
I just recently switched to Wrangler jeans and my experience so far has been good. I ordered my normal size and the jeans came slightly larger to account for shinkage. I can't say what they will be like after 20 washes, but after 3 or 4 washes we're still good.

Answer:
It's waist and length. The waist is the first measurement they want and then the length.

Yes. The first number represents your waist and the second number represents your inseam.

The prewashed states 17" straight leg opening fits easily over boots in the description and Rigid states 16" straight leg opening.

Answer:
Other than perhaps a slight difference in the leg opening, the main difference seems to be that the prewashed have had all the heavy starch washed out of them before coming to retail. I also would assume it may limit how much they will shrink after you wash them.

Answer:
Good Question. In addition to the leg measurements, prewashed jeans offer an easy-wearing, broken-in feel. On the other hand, the starch isn?t washed or treated out of "rigid" denim jeans - giving them a crisp finish and unaltered fit.
