Rated 5 out of 5 by TampaTexan LOVE THIS COAT!
I've always liked the looks of the old fashined frock coat and will do my part in bringing it back into vogue. There are many old styles that need to be exposed to younger generations that know nothing of them!
I chose the Wah Maker simply because it is among the best in a true frock coat! ~ Just dropped it off at the tailor to shorten the sleeves to my size; can't wait to get it back this Friday!

I wear a 46 tall and I have long arms. This coat, as is and ordered in 46, fits me perfectly in waist (I'm 36) and chest but the arms are just a tad over "right-on." That's fine with me as I hate it when sleeves pull back when you raise your arms but I wonder how ridiculous this cut would be for normal (non-tall sized) people. The coat length is 2 in. over my knees and could have been better just touching the top of the knees - but this is not specifically a "tall" sized cut - except for the sleeve length. Buttons at mid chest - so you can easily and very quickly push back the cloth below, or reach in, and draw a pistol, if that's what you need to do. The material is just 17% wool and the fabric looks and feels like all polyester. That should not be a problem for a "costume" coat but my use was intended for unusual dress and to the discerning eye it would be obvious that I'm wearing polyester. So I'll use it now and then instead of a sport coat with jeans for casual and a bit different work clothes. Its warm, especially as its covering the thighs, and comfortable so I may even try it for cold home evenings wear instead of my "housecoat" when I have guests. Because of so much polyester, it will take a lot of wear and could be tossed about, never hung, and not change in appearance. Says "dry clean only" but I put it in warm machine wash and hang dry as soon as I received it to see if it would get a bit more supple - but no change in appearance, drape or "hand" at all. And it did not shrink. The cut is a modernized 19th frock. It still features the traditional tight waist, wide hips and very broad chest to enhance your peacock manliness. Shoulders have moderate padding though and that is a later feature for frock coats. It is comfortable to wear but would drape more nicely if it were all wool. But then, the cost would be much more.

this coat fits righteous to yr body, maybe a touch small, so order a size larger...if you're a medium(38-40) like me, might wanna go one size up, if i was to 'tighten up', would probably rip out the seams, so take it from there...BUT wow! do it git some second looks...folk sure see ya in this bad boy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ivan Very disappointed.
When I recieved the coat I was very disappointed. I assumed it would have a "westerny" look, ie; western yoke front and back etc... This coat has nothing about it to make it look any different than a regular city boy's overcoat. I sent it back and ordered a very nice shadow stripe, black, western suit jacket. Maybe someday I will find a true western frock coat.

I ordered a 48R and the sleeves were a little long for me. I have long arms for my height (6'2"), so I was surprised by this. It isn't a big deal for me because I am going to get it tailored anyway. All clothing manufacturers assume that people in the bigger sizes are fat, so they make the waist huge. All in all it is a very nice coat that for me requires a little bit of tailoring, which is to be expected. Well worth the money!

Superb for hot climate - to wear both indoor and outdoors. Suits well for formal events and as casula dress. Conservative design - will be always trendy. Light, but solid. Very comfortable. Fair price.
