I picked up a pair of these and they were very comfortable and nice looking. I normally wear a 11 shoe; however, the size 12 fit me perfectly. The top section and heal of my 4-piece boot had a full quill look; however, the sides were smooth as pictured. I loved them, but ended up returning them due to a tear near sticthing in the shaft. I could not find a replacement in my size so I ended up swapping for a Luchesse 1883 full quill pair for another big bill. I wore these around the house for 15 minutes and my feet were in pain and returned them. I next purchases a Tony Lama full quill ostrich boot with the Lama Comfort Technology and they felt as terrible on my feet as the Luchesse 1883s. Ultimately I found a full quill pair of Tony Lama, boots in peanut brittle color, (model CZ800 from an online retailer listed on Tony Lama's website) that were equipped just like these (comfort technology insole / Z toe) and have to say they feel great on my feet! If you can find these in your size and with a nice looking arrangement of ostrich skin, by all means go for it!

These boots were pretty comfortable right out of the box and will only get better with age. They do run narrow as I normally wear a D and had to swap to a EE. I've received a bunch of compliments on how good they look!

I wear a D width in work boots. These boots are narrower than a normal D width. I had to initially return them for the EE width.I highly suggest if this is your situation, order the EE width. Other than that, I really like 'em. Very satisfied [...] I will definitely buy from Sheplers again.
