    I am confused as to what size to purchse. what is the length measurement of the leather only? of the 40 or 42? does the 40 mean the leather would measure 40 inches long??? the phone sales rep didnt even know how to advise me.

    The numbers are the inches around your waist, same as with jeans sizes. However, when sizing your belt, you need to add 2" to your regular waist size. Below is a link to our sizing guide that will help you determine how to figure out your proper belt size.

    hi VERY nice looking belt

    2 questions. is this really 1 3/4 inches wide? If so It probably wont fit my belt buckles.
    2nd question: does the size XL 40-42 mean the belt alone would measure 40-42 inches long?? AND WOULD THIS be true for all your belt sizings?
