Rated 4 out of 5 by Now I can dance ... Beautiful boots, also nice unther a skirt/dress. Different from all other boots because of the details of metal. I love them. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by You will never be disappointed if you buy these. This was my second pair of the same boots. I wear a 7 med and they are true to size. I bought them both in black. I work in a casino and walk miles a day and I have worn them everyday to work. You can even wear them with a dress if you so choose, I have. The top part is soft and supple. You are just going to love these boots. I just hope they never stop making this particular style. I have had my first pair for over a year and they still look like new. I use a good leather conditioner on them and bear leather grease to waterproof them good, as I wear them in all sorts of weather outside. November 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Boot! On day 1 I wore these boots for 10 hrs straight without the slightest hint of discomfort. After about 1/2 an hour they felt like I'd been wearing them forever! I did take the advice of other reviewers and ordered up a half size - the fit is perfect! I've never written a product review before but was compelled to recommend these if you're looking for a great priced, stylish and super comfortable boot! October 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by back in black I bought these boots a few years back and I absolutely love them. I like that the fit is a little snug as this type of leather always stretches out. These look great with a pair of tapered leg jeans or leggings and a long blouse, tunic or t shirt. These boots have frayed a little, but no big deal. One thing I would recommend is putting the anti skid rubber do hickeys on the heel. As the heel wears down it becomes somewhat rounded and really "slick" on linoleum floors. Keep an eye on it and have it re heeled if / when that starts to happen. August 28, 2012

    Answer:
I would like to add a something to my reply. If there are a lot of customer reviews available for a certain boot style, READ them; I always do because they can often help you make a smart choice. I read a bunch of the reviews for these boots, and since so many said that these run small and tight, even if other DP boots they bought in the past ran quite big, it likely means they do run small (it sounded like by a half-size) if that many reviewers are having the same experience. Of course, it is a stretchy leather, too, so the tight feeling may not warrant going up, but if it's only half a sz....might be worth it, I always say better a little extra room for my tootsies than not enough. One thing about Sheplers that many people don't seem to understand, also, is if you DO buy a pair of boots and you aren't sure they're going to fit, as long as you do all your trying-on or "wearing 'em around" test runs indoors and keep the soles like new, you absolutely CAN return / exchange; you DON'T have to find someone else to pass them on to! If Sheplers sends the wrong size by error (unlikely), or there is a defect, of course they will cover return shipping. If you return but they sent the size requested, you must pay the return shipping, but if you reorder a pair in exchange, they will pay for shipping that pair. SO, that's about it!

    Answer:
That's a tricky Q, because clearly not all bootmakers stick to the same size guidelines to simplify matters. As it happens, though I do own a number of different boot brands, I don't have any Dan Post, so my experience with them is zip. If you have a boot store near you that carries Dan Post, you could try on a pair in a similar style--(the same shape, height, toe, etc.) and order the size that fits, because bootmakers at least standardize their sizes for styles with the same shape of last. If not, why not call Sheplers customer service and ask if this particular boot runs large? They will often state on the page an alert to let customers know if a style runs a bit larger or smaller than they would order, but if they do not, you can ask.

    Answer:
This is a Q better answered by any of the Sheplers staff than another customer, but, I can say this, (since Sheplers is very predictable), it pretty much invariably takes 5 business days, from the time I order something to the time it is delivered to my door. So you still have time, if you get to it! As long as you live in the US, and providing the product is in stock, I mean. I cannot say with any authority if this applies to Australia. (You can call Sheplers customer service if you are unsure. They're always helpful and friendly when I have Qs for them). Hope any of this helped.
