Rated 5 out of 5 by The best boots ever! I love love these boots and I get so many compliments when I wear them...BUT I had to order size 8 and Iam 9.5...that is how big these boots run!...once you now this do not hesitate to buy! February 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boots, but run BIG! I LOVE these boots! They look even better in person. However, they run HUGE! I usually wear a 9.5 and I got an 8 and they are still a little too big, I could have easily done a 7.5. I would recommend ordering at least 1.5 sizes smaller than normal shoes. Also, the calf is tighter than most boots I own, I had to take it to my local boot repair to get the them stretched out a bit. Other then that, great quality and good looking! November 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great color love the zippers I bought these boots for my girlfriend she has always wanted cowgirl boots but with her big calfs and big ankles she never tried on any because she thought they would not fit she wears a size ten i found these boots with the back zippers and bought them she loves them easy to get on and off thank you October 26, 2012

How wide is the saft? One review said they had to be stretched & the other said they were great for large calfs??
Also, a ZIPPER on cowboy boots??? To me, sounds like a terrible idea. How noticeable is the zipper??
Thanks !! I love the looks of these boots but have these concerns

Answer:
I thought the same but people that loved these boots on me have stated that the zipper in the back gives them more edgier modern look...I have to agree they look very "current"...but yet so distressed and original...if you have large calves they may not fit...without shoemaker stretching them!...they do fit better under skinnier bootleg jeans as they dont have a very wide shaft!...but the most compliments I get when I show the boot...zippers and all!!

Answer:
The shaft would depend on the size you choose. If you have a larger foot then the shaft would be more accommodating, the smaller of the foot the narrower the shaft will be. I have seen a few new motorcycle boots with a zipper and they usually blend in with the material. The zipper is for those to make it easier to take boots on and off. Since the zipper is ion back of the boots, it will take more to notice it, and should not be a problem.
