It stays on while driving in my convertible without using the leather strap, and at the beach on a windy day or out fishing the strap provides additional security. Love this hat so much I bought more for when the first one wears out... June 15, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Great Stetson Hat for Me I love this hat ! 1st - it's a Stetson. 2nd - I wanted a stylish hat to protect me from direct sunlight while staying cool. This hat is better than I expected. I wear 7 1/4 or Large. I bought the Large / XLarge which fits great. This hat provides great UV protection, comfortable shade for my head with air passing through the hat to add a cooling effect. My wife and I are going to the beach for the weekend. I am certain this hat will protect me very well as I sit my butt in my beach chair enjoying the ocean view. I would buy this hat again. You will not be disappointed with this hat. May 23, 2011
