Rated 5 out of 5 by Hats Off To Stetson! I'll start by saying that I was a little dubious given the reviews these boots had received, but, thanks to Sheplers excellent returns policy, I took a gamble. And it paid off. I'm very happy with these boots, very, very happy. I'd been looking for this style of boot for quite a few years. Thanks Stetson! The manufacture is as good as any of the boots I've owned previously, no heel issues, no weak construction. The look is actually better than that shown in the photo. The size runs true. I had doubts about the size and thought they might be too small, but they are perfect! Now, I will say that these boots are street wear for me. I don't know how they would go in a work environment, but they are quite sturdy. February 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by order 1014420 i was not yoo happy with my boots .frist thing it did not look like the picture. the heel was deffernt and the sole was defternt too .so i send my order back . i was disaponited thank you john January 9, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice looking boot But quality is poor. Heel was not centered on right boot, about 1/4" off to one side. Left side heel was off centered as well but not as much. The sole on left heel not completely glued on and was loose. Needles to say I returned the boots. Too bad because I really like the look. I have never returned a pair of boots before due to poor quality from Sheplers, these are the first. December 31, 2012

    Heel and sole?

So does this boot have the heel and sole like the boot pictured or the shorter heel that I've seen on other stetson boots? After reading the reviews I'm not sure.

    Answer:
    Spikey,

Also from OZ, I have been very careful with sizing. You can go online and find many sites that will tell you what Australian sizes are in the US. The most crucial thing, however, is the width. I have bought three boots from Sheplers in the last few months and all size 10 but three different widths. Waterproof western work boots (Wolverine) 10D (medium), I can only get away with these with very thick socks but ok for work in the field. 2 pair of dress western boots, 10A and 10B. A is the narrowest and I must wear thin socks but all good, B is perfect for me, can wear any socks.
Go to a shoe store and ask to have you feet measured on one of those metal shoe sizers and pay attention to your width.
