I had to wait awhile for this hat to arrive, but now I understand why. It probably had to do with the demand for this hat. After receiving it, I was amazed at the quality and the care that was used to ship this hat. The color is very true to the internet picture and the size was exactly perfect! Sheplers took awhile to get it to me, but was well worth the wait. An absolutely amazing hat that can be worn to a rodeo and to Church. Many thanks to all involved!

Bought this hat for my son. The hat is as described. Holds it's shape well. Can be worn with anything from jeans to a suit. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I own 3 Stetsons; 1 wool, 1 beaver (Revenger), and this one. I can say that without a doubt all 3 show the quality synonymous with the Stetson brand. I absolutely love this hat. Feels great, well made, looks phenomenal. In the few short days since owning it, I've received countless comments and compliments from total strangers. Great cowboy roll and the brim is not too small (which I find to be an issue with the 3" and some 3 1/4" brimmed hats).
I looked far a wide before ordering another hat, and the reviews on this site helped tremendously. In fact, I'm not afraid to wear it in the rain. At the price, if it messed up (though I think that would only add character to it - like Hondo Lane's infamous hat) - I would merely buy another. The price is reasonable and the process from ordering through Sheplers was wonderful.

I'm a 7- 1/2, with my head shape between oval and long-oval. Ordered 7-1/2 oval and it worked out fine. Was able to reshape it with a little steam from the kettle fed inside the crown and beneath where the sweatband usually is (after I'd folded the leather sweatband down and out of the way). All it needed right after steaming was some felt padding tucked into the forehead portion of the sweatband (now folded back up) to force it into more oval a shape, then I wore it until it dried on my head. Voila - it was a little more "long oval" and a little less "oval" and now it's perfect. I keep the felt pads handy for windy days so I can stick them in the sweatband and jam it on my head a little more - it doesn't have a chin strap but it hasn't blown off my head yet with the pads.
Nice and firm, love the color, which is a little darker than the color shown in picture (a little more grey and a little less tan - but goes with everything) Works great in the rain - looking forward to testing it in the snow this winter. This is my new all-purpose outdoor hat for outside work, casual wear, and walking around town - and I love it. Best hat I ever owned.
BTW - thanks Sheplers for the prompt service - and for delivering it in the nice hat box - which I'll keep - even though this hat will stay handy on its hook by the door or on the hat stand in my room 365 days a year.

Great service on delivery of this Stetson! Hat is pretty much as advertised and reviewed. Ordered a 7 1/4 as that's the size I have always worn and it fits perfectly. To add my 2 cents about the color, I think stone is inaccurate but the color shown is close...just a bit darker. Great looking hat!

I normally wear one of my Akubra hats from Australia but decided to try this Stetson as the blocking (crown shape) appealed to me. I am most pleased with this Stetson and the 73/4 fits my noggin to a tee. The stone color is ideal and the brim is super cover from the hot California sun.

This hat is very nice! Had mine now for six months and love it. The Africa sun is not for the feint harted and this hat lives up to its name.
It is a perfect fit and looks very nice too. My only comment is that when it is realy hot and sweaty outside, the hat tends to fall off while riding my horse. Again, the hat fits perfect its just the leather lining on the inside gets slippery with sweat and it is then when I get de-hatted LOL.
Even though this is the case, I will recommend it to anyone interested in this hat!
