I bought this hat a few months ago. I had worn out yet another crummy new-school rolled straw hat and was not happy with the look of the Outback style hat I had (even after reshaping it). While I know 3X wool is on the lower end of the quality scale for felt hats, this was a lot of money for me to spend on a hat at the time. I went for it though because I wanted something American made and of Stetson's quality. I wasn't disappointed. The fit is impeccable and the quality of the hat construction is excellent. I was a little disappointed in the color as it looked more like a light chocolate in person than the rich acorn color in the photo, but it still looks good. I'm a redhead, so this is the perfect hat coloring for me. Another reason I went with this style is I liked the pinch-front crown...very old-school and hard to find today. I didn't care for the hokey pre-fab brim shape so I took a steamer to it and reworked it until I found a shape that looked less goofy, more traditional and offered a better complement to my features. Be adventurous and shape your hat yourself like a real cowboy! For the money, you can't go wrong with the value and quality of this hat and Shepler's made the purchase fast and easy. I'm saving up my greenbacks and looking forward to purchasing a nice fur felt hat someday soon. Cowboy up!

This hat was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 23 year old son. I was a bit apprehensive buying something without actually seeing it, but decided to check it out. It is an outstanding hat! The quality, color, size and construction far surpassed other hats I had seen that were more expensive. My son, who is a singer in a C&W band, was thrilled. He's been wearing it since he received it. I am SO GLAD I purchased this. Thank you for making this gift to my son a truly special one.

This is a nice hat for the price - got it on sale - and primarily bought if for the shape and color. Lowest "x" I have in my collection of hats, but seems to be decent for a 3X. Problem is - my husband and I wear the same size hat . . he has his eye on it!

I was disappointed when I opened the box. The band around the hat was separated and broken and the Stetson symbol was attached upside down. I sent it back to get another hat and hopefully I will get it by Christmas.
