This hat has a couple of features which make it great for blustery and windy conditions.I live in Texas and Colorado where there's lots of wind. First, the draw string speaks for itself - works great.
Also, the shape of this hat lends itself to staying on your head. A side view reveals that the brim is turned down compared with most cowboy hats. When walking into the wind, the turned-down front stays blown down by the wind; the opposite occurs with the back of the hat with a tailwind. So it stays on your head well compared to most hats I've been around. It's been a great choice for me.
