I keep it in my desk drawer as "backup" just in case I have something come up at work that needs a slightly dressier look than an open collar. Here in New Mexico (where the bolo tie is the offical state tie) you can always slide a bolo on and be "appropriately" dressed for the occasion. Has a little more style than just another red necktie.
