I wouldnt say its a slim fit but it is fitted through the mid section if that makes sense. My husband is a skinny guy and wears a large in dress shirts. We stuck with a large for him. If you are more padded around the middle I would prob go up a size. You may wanna find somewhere to try one on first because you may not like the fit in that case. But if you try it on elsewhere def come back to sheplers to buy because this is the cheapest ive found it!

Answer: 
I assume that you are talking about a Chinch shirt. I am very slim (skinny) and the shirt I got was far too large. The sleeves were too long and I usually take a 34-35 sleeve. If you are worried about it being too small, I don't think you have a problem.
