Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot - wore great Best boots for the price. Only reason I am buying new ones is that I wore a hole on the back side. Who says you have to pay over $100 for solid, comfortable boots. These are my daily boots. Goes with everything...even a suit. May 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value! These boots are a great buy! They look good, fit well and stand up well! Very minimul break in period. May 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot for the buck. The Sheplers ad said to order a half size bigger. I was already ordering a half size bigger for other boots, because I have to install the PowerSport insoles recommended by my doctor for my plantar faciittis. Anyway, the boot fit perfectly once the insole was installed. This is my 5th pair of boots from Sheplers and everyone fit. Just be sure to read the sizing charts correctly before you order and everything should fit fine. April 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good bargain for a buck At first I was little apprehensive while ordering this boots. I was on a shoe-string budget so could not afford boots in the $200-$300 range. I was nicely surprised when they arrived, the quality and fit are good and they really don?t look cheap at all! Great bang for a buck for the ?cowboy? on the budget! April 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Looking Boots I bought my friend these boots and it made me want a pair too...My friend said the boots are like Cadillac's he really is going to enjoy them. April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Price Good boots Boots are exactly what was described. Not $300 boots but thats why they were under $70 bucks. Personally Great Buy Exactly what was expected. Sheplers is always good to do business with. Send a return shipper in the box just in case. That's Service. SJM Raleigh, NC April 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by boots i really like the boots and i got them reallt quick. unfortunatly, they were the wrong size and i had to send them back.i still don't have them but am looking forward to getting them soon. March 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good fit and great look The description said the boots ran small and to order a size larger. I actually ordered a size and a half larger because it was in the color I wanted and I figured I'd just wear a heavier sock. The fit is great, especially with a medium weight sock. A half size smaller would have been a bit too snug for my liking. They look terrific (black cherry). Ordering from Shepler's is a breeze. March 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely love them ! I got my boots about two weeks ago and I love them. I have been wearing them most of the time when not working and they are very comfortable. Fit is good, although I may not order a EE next time. Not overjoyed with the higher upper, but that is easy to overlook. Would definitely buy from Sheplers again. March 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots. I really like these cowboy boots. The fit great, and feal great. March 13, 2013

    Answer:
These are not made for riding because you would need a pair that has riding heels. They are higher heels and also have a slant in the rear of the heel and that's in order for the boots to not get stuck in the stirrup.
I have to point out though that we are talking about western style horse riding NOT English.
    Hope that helps.

    Answer:
The Old West boots featured here are mainly for dress wear unless stated they are work wear. You would need a pair or work boots or ropers to go horse riding. There are plenty to choose from from Sheplers, and a good amount in the budget priced pairs as well.

    Answer:
Your normal street shoe is a 9, so general rule of thumb is to drop down 1/2 a size. If the description states you would need to drop an entire size than take off one whole size instead of 1/2 size.

Well I wear an 8.5 to a 9 in US women's and I wear a men's 7 in the Old West boot. So I think they may not go small enough for you if you wear a US women's 8. Sorry :(

The uppers are leather but the soles are not, though they kind of look like it. I know this because (a) I asked Sheplers before and (b) I have bought two pairs (the first pair was a little too big)
