Rated 5 out of 5 The Old West Roper Boots are Superior Quality Both pairs of Old West Roper boots are wonderful. They are comfortable, high quality, and definitely worth the purchase price. While the Black Cherry were not exactly the color I expected them to be from the web picture, they are still quite nice. Sheplers has proven to me making a purchase online can be a good thing. Rated 5 out of 5 by My second pair of Ropers I ordered a pair of Old West brown ropers, loved them, and HAD to have a pair of black ones to complete footwear to match pants, shirt and coat. They fit well, polish cleanly and are simply clean and stylish. Pricing is fair and I would recommend this style to anyone. April 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by New boots I treated the set I bought for two days with mink oil and then wore them to work. They were comfortable but a little stiff as expected of new boots. I was disappointed with the failure to pay attention to details. The trimming of the sole and heel had missed some spots that I had trim myself. I believe they need to focus more on the QA/QC inspection before sending these boots out for sale. April 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This 2 pairs of boots are the best i have ever bought for that amount of money they fit perfect, are very confortable, and they look good.what else can I ask for? durability?will see. March 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Old West Ropers I bought two pair, one in tan, and one in black, and I am pleased with both of them. I have several pairs of boots, which I wear square dancing and for casual occasions. I wear the ropers to church, because their neat appearance and non boot like appearance. When these wear to the point that they will be every day wear, I will order exactly the same boots again and again. March 26, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by not roper brand boots poor quality, postage costs outrageous. boots look nothing like the ad. March 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable,. great price for a great boot. I bought these for my husband and he loves them, says they are very comfortable and he wears them everyday. Matter of fact,, he loved his so much I ordered me a women's pair. February 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by product returned The boots were of good quality they just didnt fit right, I returned them and will make a decision for another pair at a later date. February 27, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by You get what you pay for I bought 2 pairs of these boots, black and a tan. The tan is very light in colour. I bought them to try out roper boots. Unfortunately the black pair had one boot that I couldn't get my foot in, in fact the shafts were different in width. I have spent a week stretching these boots so I can get my feet into them - now I can try breaking them in. The leather quality is poor and the texture is different on each boot. They are very cheap in price and are very cheap looking in appearance. In summary if you want a reasonable pair of boots give these a miss and go up market a bit for better quality. February 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Picture isn't worth a thousand words The online picture left the impression of a quality, semi-worn leather boot. What I received was something closer to pleather or plastic. I was so disappoint with the look, quality and feel that I didn't even try the boots on. This was a huge disappointment. February 9, 2013

    Answer:
The difference is how wide the boot is. D is a normal width and EE is for someone who needs more wider boots.

    Answer:
D and EE apply to the difference in the width of the boot . D is usually a medium width and EE is an extra wide designation.. To determine correct width there is a site on Shepler's web page that you can print out in full scale and determine your size and width you may need. Width would also depend on what type of socks you wear with the boots.

    Answer:
D is a regular foot width boot. EE is a wide width boot. The wider your foot, the bigger the width. I wear a size 10.5 (US) boot, but because my feet are wider, I prefer the EE size width.

    Answer:
Always buy boots at least 1/2 size larger than your shoes. If you have a small but wide foot, but the next size up for a correct fit. Also remember, boot sizes vary between manufactures so you may need to go to a store and try on a pair before you order on-line.
