Rated 5 out of 5 The Old West Roper Boots are Superior Quality
Both pairs of Old West Roper boots are wonderful. They are comfortable, high quality, and definitely worth the purchase price. While the Black Cherry were not exactly the color I expected them to be from the web picture, they are still quite nice. Sheplers has proven to me making a purchase online can be a good thing.

I ordered a pair of Old West brown ropers, loved them, and HAD to have a pair of black ones to complete footwear to match pants, shirt and coat. They fit well, polish cleanly and are simply clean and stylish. Pricing is fair and I would recommend this style to anyone.

I treated the set I bought for two days with mink oil and then wore them to work. They were comfortable but a little stiff as expected of new boots. I was disappointed with the failure to pay attention to details. The trimming of the sole and heel had missed some spots that I had trim myself. I believe they need to focus more on the QA/QC inspection before sending these boots out for sale.

I bought two pair, one in tan, and one in black, and I am pleased with both of them. I have several pairs of boots, which I wear square dancing and for casual occasions. I wear the ropers to church, because their neat appearance and non boot like appearance. When these wear to the point that they will be every day wear, I will order exactly the same boots again and again.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them, says they are very comfortable and he wears them everyday. Matter of fact,, he loved his so much I ordered me a women's pair.

I bought 2 pairs of these boots, black and a tan. The tan is very light in colour. I bought them to try out roper boots. Unfortunately the black pair had one boot that I couldn't get my foot in, in fact the shafts were different in width. I have spent a week stretching these boots so I can get my feet into them - now I can try breaking them in. The leather quality is poor and the texture is different on each boot. They are very cheap in price and are very cheap looking in appearance. In summary if you want a reasonable pair of boots give these a miss and go up market a bit for better quality.
