Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them!! Best investment ever. They were a great price with free shipping. I followed the size recommendations from other customers and they seem to be straight on. I got my actual shoe size. I wore them to work one day to break them in and they were so comfy my feet didn't hurt at all. I wear them with a lot of dresses and shorts and hope to keep wearing them as much as possible!! July 10, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by two different sized boots Loved the tall shaft design of these boots, however unfortunately one boot (the right one) is half a size smaller than the other (and no my own feet dont vary in size that much). Dissapointing, as there arent many designs that are tall in that price range. I will be exchanging these. April 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just the right leather for the Look These puppies come from the box supple and ready to hang out. They are tall enough and comfortable enough not to need kneesox or pantytoes in the summertime, and they look fantastic with shorts or skirts. The perfect boot in the perfect height in the perfect dirt color for those mountain music festivals and mumsing around. April 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by These are great boots. I absolutely love these boots. I bought a pair of similar boots for Christmas, but they turned out to be much too narrow and stiff. These are soft and comfortable. They are wide enough without being too tight. Great buy. April 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FABULOUS BOOTS!! Previous reviews were helpful. I wore them out the day I purchased them and they are soooo comfortable. LOVE my new boots!!! I'm a 8 1/2 or 9. In ordered 8 1/2 and they fit perfect! If they came in black, I would buy! Hint....hint. March 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by "THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKING" I LOVE THESE BOOTS. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE. I ALSO HAVE THE RED ONES IN A 12 INCH SHAFT. THEY ARE TRUE TO SIZE I WEAR A 10 AND ORDERED A 10. THEY FIT PERFECT. IF YOU HAVE A WIDE FOOT YOU MIGHT ORDER UP A 1/2 SIZE. I WEAR THEM ALL DAY AND MY FEET NEVER HURT. I WISH THEY HAD BLACK IN THE TALLER SHAFT I WOULD ORDER THEM AS WELL. GREAT BOOT FOR THE MONEY. March 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted! Just received my first pair of cowgirl boots ever and I am so very happy! Perfect fit and look, exactly what I wanted! Nice and snug around the foot and plenty of room around the calf. I ordered from Australia and they arrived so quickly I was astonished. I have received so many compliments on these boots already, definitely worth the $$. February 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots for the price I am 6' tall and love a taller boot. These boots were a little snug when I first put them on, but like all good boots, they have stretched and now form perfectly to my feet. The leather is a light camel color which is what I have been looking for. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase from Sheplers. I have received many compliments on my boots and will continue to shop Sheplers in the future. February 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by EXCELLENT COWGIRL BOOTS FOR THE FASHION COWGIRL These boots came quickly, had zero flaws in the leather whatsoever. They were extremely comfortable, neither narrow nor mismatched size on left and right boots. They have a beautiful classic heel that looks wonderful over leggings, or under skirts/dresses. The snip toe is classic and timeless, and these boots would easily be my go to boots for the next 20 years. I gave them a 4 because I have previously always purchased Justin and Tony Lama, which are much more pricey and made for actual riding, and thus probably more RUGGED in construction, but these boots are not flimsy or cheap in the least. Just not as RUGGED as boots I have purchased in the past. The color is beautiful: sort of a cross between tan and brown, which actually matched even the blacks in my wardrobe. I happen to be returning mine (even though I LOVE LOVE them), because I have recently put on a considerable amount of baby weight, and I don't like the way my upper calves look (no fault of the boot.. Just the look of the boot when I am wearing them with my dresses, which I had hoped would elongate and slim my calves). If you have nice knees and calves, THESE ARE THE BOOTS FOR YOU!!! you can't beat the price/quality/look/timelessness of these boots. Don't let negative reviews scare you away. I am shocked they didn't get all 4s and 5s!! February 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product looks Great! But... This boot looks great, and I loved the 15" shaft, but it is not a True Medium width. The right boot was extremely tight, so tight my toes went numb after keeping them on for approx. an hour--in house. Sadly I returned them because there is no way I would be able to wear these boots without extreme PAIN. The left boot is a maybe--it might strecth a little. I just believe these boots a Narrow width! first boots problems

I'm 13 and this is my very first pair of boots that I've been able to afford and I need some help. I'm pretty tall for my age and these boots are taller boots but my calves are really skinny would these boot's shaft be too wide? My other question is how good is the quality this is no small purchase for a 13 year old it took me 6 months to save up for these boots and I want to get my moneys worth are they just fashion boots or could I wear them riding. My parents have never been into the cowgirl\country thing so I was hoping someone could help me.

    Answer:
When you wear a pair of cowboy boots, you normally wear then 1/2 size smaller than your normal street shoe. At 13, I am not sure if your feet are fully developed or not. I would order your normal street shoe size and add in an insert until your foot develops the rest of the way. When you wear cowboy boots, the reason you normally order 1/2 size smaller than normal street shoe size is because the leather of the boot stretches a bit to make the boot feel like a pair of slippers when they are fully broken in. As you wear the boots, the shafts will start to slump over a bit, which is normal, the shaft of the boots are constructed as per the width and foot size of the boots, there should be the proper width around the calves with or without pants legs shoved in. You can also store personal items in the shafts if going somewhere you cannot bring your purse, like wallet, etc.

With any pair of cowboy boots, they are for show and depending on how you take care of them can be used for light duty work as well unless stated for working boots. If you properly maintain your boots, using the leather conditioner, polish, weatherproofing agent, etc, they will last a long time. Granted there are pairs that are just for show, or you may come across a pair or two that are defective and are not going to hold up to the elements. I would not go trampling through the mud intentionally with these boots or break in a horse or something really extreme until you are sure that these boots are broken in or feel like they will hold up.
When you place your order, call the customer service line and have them place the order for you, let them know it is your first pair, give them the length you are from the back at the top of the of the heel to where the bend of the back of the knee is, and also find out if there are any sizing adjustments that need to be made. Each boot manufacturer runs sizing different, especially when they outsource to variant assembly companies, instead of the general rule of 1/2 size smaller than regular street shoe, could be a whole size, or could be exact or could need to get 1/2 or whole size larger than regular street shoe. Good luck getting your first pair!!

    Answer:
The circumference of the shaft is based on the size and width of the boot. If you have really skinny shafts then there should be a lot of play in them. Return shipping would be dependent on which service you choose and service provider and where the distance it is from you and the warehouse.

You would need to contact customer service to get dimensions of the shaft opening. When you call, tell the representative the size and width you are buying since the opening will vary between both.

    Answer:
    Cristina,
Shaft circumference will vary for all boot sizes. It is difficult to determine actually what size the shaft circumference will be. Please keep in mind that you can stretch the shaft of the boot if it feels tight. Learn about boot stretching tips on our blog: http://www.sheplers.com/blog/sheple...

    Sizing query

Hi - Refering to the sizing chart attached to this boot, Im confused...
Normally the US and AUS foot sizes are the same and on your chart they dont match up, in fact the aussie sizing is completely out of whack to the other sizes.
For example for the US size 9, the chart says thats a 7.5 in AUS conversion and 40 in European. Any other sizing chart I can find says US 9 = AUS 9 = EUR 40.
Can you add cm measurements to the boots at all as this seems to be the only accurate thing you can measure against.
Im normally a AUS 9 or EUR 40...I just want to know what size to order so I can buy this great boot!

    Answer:
You should order your normal street shoe in a US cowboy boot size, normally a US shoe is about 1/2 size different than the AUS size and if you get your normal street shoe size it should accommodate. When you wear western boots you normally should run 1/2 size down anyway unless it is stated by the description that boots run big or small. In either case, add 1/2 size more or less to the correct size.
