The finish quality ofon the inside of the boots was not as good as other Nacona boots I have ordered. There is no thin leather layer on the inside of the sole of the boot

Although mine took 3 months to get (I have an unusual shoe size), they fit nicely right out of the box and it appears I won't have to suffer that horrible break-in period I went through with my last pair of cowboy boots. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that the heals, edges, and sole came as black and not dark tan as shown online. There are also a few blemishes or discolorations in the leather, but at just over $200 I guess that's to be expected. On the other hand, you have to appreciate "Handcrafted in the U.S.A."!

Have had these for 10+ years and haven't had an ounce of issue with them. Not everyday boots, but durable from what I have seen so far. very comfortable. No break-in time. Put 'em on and started walking.

Comfortable right out of the box, fit true to size. Color lighter than pictured, but still a good looking boot. Delivery time a little longer than stated (ordered for my husband's birthday). He hit the jackpot as I ordered an additional pair to be sure I had a gift for him. So he got two new pair and loves them both.

My husband has a very wide foot and has had trouble finding boots that fit properly and were comfortable. These boots are both. They needed no break-in time and he is able to wear them from sunup to sundown in comfort. We ordered the gray. It is a bit darker than the picture, more of a charcoal gray, but still looks great. We had to return the first pair and get a half size larger because of the EEE width, and Sheplers handled that promptly, so don't hesitate to order. The return was simple and hassle free. Also, if you wear an odd size (my husband wears 11 1/2 EEE) then you will probably have to wait 6 to 7 weeks for shipment but really comfortable boots are well worth the wait.

I really like these boots, other than a couple of small issues. The color is darker than shown - when Nocona say "dark grey" they really mean it. I would have preferred them to be a bit lighter. The toe stitching has also started to unravel in a couple of places on the right boot as well. I trimmed it off, and it appears to be stable now. It's not really noticeable unless you look hard. If it keeps going I'm sure a tiny bit of super glue will stop it going any further. The right boot seems to be either bigger than the left by about half a size, or my foot is smaller. I've never noticed this on any other boots or shoes before. If it stays a bit sloppy after they're fully broken in, I'll add an insole. Other than that, they appear well made, the leather is really soft, and they are very comfortable. I've just ordered a pair of quilled ostrich Noconas.

Purchased Nocona Deertan Cowboy Boots - medium toe, brown, and am very pleased. I have different cowboy boots from different manufacturers, but enjoy the soft leather best. The soft leather is very durable, low maintenance, and comfortable. For the price it is a great value. Color as represented, and attractive design. Size is right on. I get a lot of compliments on them because they are attractive, and look comfortable. I especially like MADE IN USA.

The first time I tried these boots on they felt like I had been wearing them for a long time. They were so comfortable and needed no 'break in" time. I have ordered them before and it is always that way. My only negative comment would be in the shipping. There was nothing wrapped around the boots and the dye from the soles and heels left black marks on the rest of the boots. We were able to remove the marks and that had never happened before in the shipments of the other boots I ordered. Thank you for carrying this great product.
