These goatskin roper boots are great looking, as good or better than the picture. I was concerned as to how they would fit, but I needn't have worried. I'm sorry I didn't buy these long ago.

This is my husband's 2nd pair. The first pair lasted only 5 years before the leather split from the sole. He loved them and wore them everyday. I would expect that for the price they'd last longer. You can't beat the comfort. That's why he got another pair. Hopefully these will last longer.

This is my second pair of Lucchese Boots .I ordered these and could not be more pleased .The best Boots I have ever worn.Very comfortable and fit Great.Looks are great for any occassion.

i got these for my husband for christmas, but just couldnt wait to give them to him. he hasnt taken them off since. they fit like a glove and are of the highest quality, just as all lucchese boots. the color is fabulous

This is a great pair of Lucchese ropers. Very supple goatskin material. Great construction. Exceptionally comfortable. Very versatile. Can dress them up or down.

I wanted a pair of Classics Ropers in Cognac and I was a bit upset I had to retrun them due to what I consider to be quality and defect issues. I noticed the date on the box label was Dec 22, 2010, so perhaps this was a holiday rush job - it showed: stitching loose on one of the shaft seams, color difference between left and right boot, polish difference between left and right boot, strong crinkle in big toe area of left boot, smaller toe box in right boot versus left boot, finish in sole bottom different between left and right boot. Overall each boot seemed as though it was made by two different people. I consider this incident to be an anomaly with Luccese. I ordered 3 other pairs of Lucchese Classics Ropers in Black (9.5D), Black (9D), Brown (9D), and they arrived in beautiful and perfect condition. I only sent the 9.5D back because it was a bit large for me. The 9Ds fit perfectly. I would buy Lucchese again and consider the Cognacs to only be a victim of the holiday rush jobs that sometimes occur. They did not have anymore Cognacs in 9D (and I prefer to buy in-stock items). Don't let this experience sway you from these beautiful boots - lemons do exist and it's only a matter of chance that eventually you get one one in your basket - and this is where Shepler's Handshake Guarantee comes in.

Have never been able to find comfortable boots until now. I have wide (EE) foot and very high instep. The fit and comfort of these is amazing. Minimal break-in period. I wear them to work with casual business attire and with jeans for dancing on Saturday night. Could not be happier with the boot and the service from Sheplers.
I'm going to order the other 2 colors of this boot as soon as they are in stock.
