Requires "NO" breaking in to be comfortable. The calf leather is soft and supple. My first "Lucchese" but definitely not my last. As comfortable as my custom made that took forever to get and were much more expensive. I have 30 yr old favorites and more. Lucchese goes on my fav list. A classic style, that shines good, and looks great for a conservative dress boot or everyday. Looks great with Levis and a short tail tux jacket.

i have always preferred boots over shoes and have purchased many different brands of boots. I had always wondered if Lucchese boots were a good as they say they are. They are. They felt great the moment I put them on, didn't have to break them in. It is good to see a well made boot made of quality materials. I am now spoiled and I doubt if I will buy another brand of boot.

I was worried that these boots would not be wide enough as I normally wear a 3E or 4E depending upon the shoe. Let me just say that 1) I was surprised Sheplers had them in stock (must have been a return) and 2) these are the most comfortable boots I have ever had on. The fit is just perfect, the width is perfect, and the boots are truly beautiful. Can you tell I really like them? I have placed an order for a pair of Lucchese "Mad Dogs", what does that say?

The first few steps had me a little concerned but then BAM my new Ropers fit like old friends. Great workmanship.
If you try your new boots on, walk on a carpet and ignore the first few steps. The fit is amazingly consistent and I am not easy to fit. My second pair of Lucchese's since Christmas and I am a convert .
Great service and fast.

The reason for my title is these boots are as comfortable as slippers. They take a great shine, are dressy enough to wear with anything including a suit or jeans, but are superbly comfortable. I own many pairs of boots but these are among the most comfortable I have ever worn or owned. Shepler's service is outstanding and I can't say enough good about their customer service and how fast my boots arrived. I am sure you will be thoroughly impressed with both the boots and Shepler's service.

I have a very high right instep and generally pull on boots hurt! This is not the case with the Lucchese Boot. I love these and will buy another soon.

My first Lucchese boots, first non-custom made boots in several years. Great fit and more comfortable than my 3 pairs of custom made boots. Fine quality of leather and craftmanship I would recommend to anyone.

This cowboy boot lives up to the reputation of being really comfortable footwear. I originally ordered my shoe size and it didn't fit. I ordered a half size larger and it fit perfectly. Again, a really comfortable boot. I'm enjoying wearing them and have gotten many compliments about their looks!
