I bought t hese for my husband who has a high instep and a wide foot. He had never had a pair of cowboy boots. He loves them. He said they were comfortable right from the start. He wears them dancing and he can't say enough about them. I would recommend these to guys who think they can't find boots for wide feet...these are really comfortable!

I sent them back, I have four (4) pairs of the 1883 Lucchese and love them. I know the last fits my foot and I like the style and look. I did like the color, however, I thought the leather used on these was cheap, for both Lucchese and my prior experience with ostrich boots.

I currently have the Mad Dog Goat Skin boots which are a cognac color. Love them. Lucchese makes the best fitting and most comfortable boot, so it was no contest when looking for another pair.
I ordered these boots based on the picture shown, featuring a natural, neutral-colored ostrich lower. The boots I received are just as dark as the Mad Dog Goat I have already - which are cognac. The ostrich lower on the pair I received is a shade or two lighter than the upper (in real life). At first I had to check the style number, as I thought maybe I got shipped the wrong pair.
I'll be returning these ASAP. I don't need two different pairs of boots that are exactly the same color.
I'd like to hope "Ole Shep" could get me a pair that looks like the picture. Otherwise I'll gladly recoup my funds.

Seen a pair in another local store, but not any in my size. Searched the INET and they came up at Shepler's. They had my size and a better price. The Boots are GREAT, excellent package and fast shipping. Made a customer out of me.....

I have shopped at Sheplers many years back when I was in the midwest. I am in the southeast U.S. now and this is the first time that I have shopped on-line with them, oddly enough.
They always have very competitive prices, many choices, and great service.
Obviously, I can buy boots anywhere, but I will be looking to Shepler's again.

Been wearing mine for the last two weeks and WOW! Almost no brreak in time what so ever. Fit like a glove and look like $5000.00. Expected to take 10 to 12 days to get them but received in 4 days. Just couldn't ask for better. Will be shopping here soon for my next pair of work boots.

This is my second pair of Lucchese 1883 boots with snip toe. My other pair are 1883 Mad Dog goatskin leather. The shaft on the ostrich boots is not as thick and therefore not as "stiff" as my goatskin and care must be taken not to break down the ostrich uppers when putting them on. There is no cushion insole in the ostrich boots and I've had to add Dr Scholls 3/4 gel pads to make them confortable. The left boot toe is not square to the center of the sole. The sizing is on target and the boots "fit" well, just not comfortable on the bottom of the heel when walking. The uppers darkened slightly when neutral polish was applied, but I think it enhanced the look and contrast to the ostrich color. And, while I have gotten several compliments on the looks, I don't think they were worth the money and I wouldn't buy another pair or recommend them to anyone. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews that indicated issues with the boots.

These boots are so amazingly soft and comfortable. Right out of the box they wore like I had been wearing them for years!
They class up any get-up you wear!
