I bought my Caiman boots December 4th 2012, the first time i put them on they felt really good, the Sheplers in Reno NV , Tess was wanting me to get the right boot , size and fit for me before i left the store, I never owned a pair of caiman boots before and did not know what to expect, but Tess was very helpful in helping me, these Lucchese boots fit me better than my Tony Lama, more support in the arch. there is only one thing that could have been a bit better was the heel insole could have a little more cushin, other than that i love the fit of the boot , break in time was short . A satisfied customer.

I have had a sizing problems with Lucchese boots. I had to return a pair of Ostrich classics 7D, because they were too large. I own two pair of Lucchese 2000 7D in smooth ostrich and they both fit like a glove. This pair of 2000 caiman tail 7D were too tight, wore them for 3 dys around the house still no go. Lucchese boots are quality through & through, but there sizing consistency is not. I have never had this problem with Tony Lama, Nacona, Dan Post. Justin or Larry Mahan Exotics.
