Rated 2 out of 5 by TJHunter Tried two different sizes
I ordered the boots based upon the Nocona's that I've owned for years. I was barely able to get my foot past the upper leathers. Once I had them on, they were snug but not overtight. Since it took about 20 minutes to get the boots back off, the returned to boots for another full size. Got them yesterday, and was unhappy to find the same issue with the leather uppers. Again, once the boots were on, I was good. But another 15 minutes to get my feet back out> Sending them back again for credit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2MadDog Made with a shank effecting arch of foot.
The boots are fine with the exception of the effect the shank in the foot bed has on being uncomfortable in feel at the arch of the foot. The "handcrafted" construction may have something to do with this as the right boot feels good, but the left boot has the pronounced shank hitting the foot arch and feels uncomfortable - quality control issue. I have not experienced this before. I have kept the boots in hope that the boot breaks in and becomes more acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SDDAVE Ouch, Tight Fit.
I purchased these boots based on the size of my Lucchese Ropers, 10.5 D. When I took them out of the box and slipped them on all I could say was "ouch". I wore them on the carpet for a while and they seemed to loosen up a bit. I decided to keep them because I didn't want a wider, sloppy fitting boot. I have been wearing them every day at work. They are still a bit too tight in the mornings, but loosen comfortably with in an hour or so. I know the leather is alot stiffer than my Ropers, and hope over time it will soften a bit. Over all Im satisfied, and I just ordered a pair for my Wife. Im still giving them 5 stars despite the snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrence Fabulous looking and feeling boot.
I have a narrow foot and this boot works well for me. It is firmer than the dress boots and seems to hold it's shape well. Very comfortable and casual looking.

Inside the shoe makes the sole a big hump. After 1 minute going there are pain in the feet. Not possible to walk with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dutche Fine dressboot, great fit and excellent quality.
Lucchese boots fitt great. Ordered EE size because of my high instep and wide foot. Ordering boots, just follow the instructions on the internetsite of Sheplers for a good buy. Dont need the boots to break in, slide in and start walking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RetinusRoux Excellent boots for a nice price
These boots are very comfortable and don't require any or minimum brake-in. I wear 10 EE. The distressed look is excellent up close. Lucchese boots are just the best value for their price
