Have been wearing 501 pre-washed jeans since high school. (same size as back then just to add)
45 years later since high-school, I can still count on the size, quality, and cut being consistent. I don't have to try them on, or measure anything. I can count on Levi, and Sheplers to remain consitent through the years.

pxr00 Fabric very bad quality
I have been wearing 501 jeans all my life.
The colour of this pair was fading in a very strange pattern after the first (!) wash. See photo. And I know how 501 jeans should behave, trust me.
Something is very wrong with the quality of the fabric.
I would return it if had not moved back to Germany now (had the jeans shipped to my location in the US during my vacation).
A waste of money.

If one ever owned a pair of Levi's 501 Original jeans they are not exactly like the originals that everyone wore in the 70's and in years past. They are like New Coke as opposed to Coca-Cola. They fit like Levi's and are prewashed, but are not "original". Ok price and I am keeping them, but they should be called Levi's 501 Prewashed or something without the word "original".

The fabric looked cheap, it wrinkled easily and did not meet 501 quality.

When I saw that Sheplers had the 501's 5 buttonI thought , what the heck. I had not worn a pair of Levis, in particular, the 5 button front in 50-55 years. I wore them when I was ranching in Arizona, but not the 501's or any Levis for that matter. The problem was sizing. When I looked through the list of sizes that Sheplers had I decided to order several pair. The size is 36 x 36. I have both pre washed and stone washed, for a total of three pair. The metal buttons that gave me a difficult time as a kid, are still driving me a little nuts. The fit after one washing and no hot dryer, just air then inside is great. The Levis quality is still with us. Nice to wear after all these years.

My husband has always worn and enjoyed the Original 501's, Finding the pre-washed ones is difficult on the East Coast, where they are not on the West Coast.

the product was received as ordered. the quality was as expected from 45 years using the brand. i will continue to use this brand and order from now on from sheplers.
