I needed a hat to keep the sun off of me while I am working outside. This wide brim certainly does that. The only negative thing I have to say about it is not much air flow up top and I do sweat quite a bit in it.

i like my new hat bbbuuuutttttt the wind strings r very short... the hat won't lay in the middle of ur back as it should n the biggest beef with the hat is THE VALLEY in the crown its OFFCENTER... i put my hat on n looked in the mirror n noticed the valley runs off 2 the right bout 2 degrees it makes ur nose look crooked whoever blocked the hat messed up that valley represents a person from montana thats how u tell where a person is from in the days of old other than that i like my hat THANK U GARY
