My head size is 7-1/4 and fit great. love top center fold style.
Cowboy hats are always fervent character itself unless live in Texas or somewhere in the west. That's what I meant, this hat has some neutral feeling to put on.
Good for folks who don't want high profile in hot summer ! even protect your head from sun !!

As others have commented the hat runs big and there is little head room so you can't push the hat down on your head.
But my biggest complaint is the size of the hat. They state it has a 4" crown. It does NOT. The crown is 5 1/2". They say the size of crown and brim may vary slightly. An almost 40% difference is not a"slight" difference.
I ordered 2 Wrangler work shirts and they were fine, better than expected. I've bought jeans and boots from Sheplers for years and been to their store in Vegas. But this is the second time I've ordered a hat and had the same problem. I presume they get their numbers from the manufacturer but I will NEVER buy another hat from them.
The numbers can't be trusted. The hat is going back.

This hat runs a little large. I have a 7 1/8 hat size, and the S/M says 6 3/4-7 1/8. Out of the box, the hat would fall off my head. Also, there's not much head room inside, so I couldn't push it down too far. I got some air conditioner foam seal out of my tool box, put a little in the front and back under the inner band, and now it fits perfectly.
I wear this hat whenever I want to look and be cool outside in the sun. You can feel the breeze blow through and cool your head. The brim can be shaped however you want, and the straw cowboy hat style can be worn with a number of looks. I have a lot of hats, but few of them get worn frequently. This one will be moved to the front of the hat rack.

I'm a musician and bought the hat for outdoor gigs. I don't play country music, so I wanted a hat that was more subtle in style. This hat is perfect, especially since I'm a girl : ) The hat is not too tall or too long. I ordered a large cause I have a large head (LOL) but also wanted to be able to put my hair up in it. Works GREAT. I really like the head band in it too. Very comfortable. Kept me cool and shaded on stage facing the sun for hours!

I have searched stores for a western straw hat that would ventilate was in style and a good fit, with a brim for sun protection. I have 3 of them now and I found them at Sheplers.com
