I bought these boots as a going away gift for my older sister because (though we live in the great state of Kentucky we were both born and raised on a small ranch near Fritch, Texas) she wanted a pair of boots to remind the boys in her college that she has some down home, home grown roots and that she can pull her own weight when she wants to. She wanted a pair of black because (even though she still works hard) she doesn't work in dirt, mud, sand or and snow anymore and she wouldn't have to worry about getting them dirty. I bought them and had them delivered to her dorm in Kentucky in just 36 hours! The look and feel great! (according to her) She loves them!

Well, they're a present for my daughter, so let's first hope they fit. But as I've learned over the years, boots from American makers are almost always a good buy, stuff made to last if you take proper care of tehm. So really, unless the sizing turns out to be totally out of whack, this is my usual good buy from Shepter's.

I need a wide width boot, especially since I will be wearing them with socks. I have a high arch, narrow heel and a wide width foot. This boot works completely for me and my needs. It can be quite challenging to find a boot that I can get on and off easily with my high arch, and also challenging to find a boot that offers that extra width. They look nice, they are comfortable and the quality is there. Again, this was exactly what I was looking for!

I can't believe how much I love these boots! As well, I had never ordered anything online prior to this, and I couldn't believe how fast the product was shipped! From Kansas to Canada within 36 hours!! Sure beats our postal system!!!
