Rated 1 out of 5 by ralfe justin over the calf boot sock jow
I have been buying this product for many yrs because it gave me good support for vericos viens and they lasted a long time. but they chepend the product by taking all the cotton out and leaving a poleyester shell then they shortend the highth 4 inches so you can't turn down the top for good top support put the cotton back in it and make them to the original highth!

I love these boot socks, they fit, they are comfortable, they stay up and they appear to be very well made. I will be buying more soon.

I ordered the correct size (M) for my shoe size, but am wondering if I should have ordered the next size up. I have high calves and these socks come up to about mid calf height - certainly not "over the calf". They are just not long enough - they need to be about 2" longer I think. (The fit in the foot is fine though which is why I've said they are true to size).
I was also disappointed with how thin they are (except for the grey padded areas).
So I'm still searching for decent, long, comfortable, thicker socks that don't fall down inside my boots!

This product has great features. I like the thickness in the foot area, and like the thinness of the material covering the calf. Fits very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bwilson109 Best boot socks I have found
I wear boots every day, and it has always bothered me that my over-the-calf socks slide down by the end of the day. I have tried many different brands over the years, but these Dan Post socks have proven to the the best yet. They have an extra 3" added to the top of the sock so that it truly goes over my calf to the bend in my knee. After being on my feet all day, the socks don't come down at all, so this means I don't have boot leather rubbing the inside of my calf. I know socks are not super important in the overall spectrum of life, but if you are like me and hate to have your socks slide down, then give these a try. You won't be disappointed.

You cant get socks that stay up in the United Kingdom ,I knew the minute I put them on that these were different ,as everything else I have bought from SHEPLERS , another good buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CottonSocks Materials changed, but not noted in item information
I bought many of these same socks with the same description and same item number from Sheplers several years ago. They were perfect for my husband's thin legs, to wear with his boots. They were 77% cotton, and he insisted on cotton socks (as much as possible# or else his feet hurt. They were all getting worn out, so I found them on the website again and ordered many pairs. Although they had the same item number, same name #Over the Calf Boot Socks), and same packaging, these were 58% acrylic and only 15% cotton, along with other materials. He tried them, but they hurt his feet. I am returning these and I bought some cotton socks from another company. I don't have a problem with Sheplers selling acrylic socks - some people like them. What I do have a problem with is keeping the same item number as a very different product and not mentioning it on the website.

Bought 9 pair about two years ago and now I'm ready to buy a bunch more. Was working 10-16 a day 7 days a week in construction field. These socks kept my legs comfortable all day long. Retired now and want comfort for my legs.

I found the socks to be very comfortable. They stay up on the calf unlike
many other brands of socks.

Brought these to go with my new boots. Very comfortable and padded in the foot without being bulky. Only been wearing for a week or so , so cannot comment on durability but tops seem to stay up well. All in all I would recommend these socks.
