    Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fitting boots Thanks for my first pair of cowboy boot. They met all my expectations and they fit perfectly, even though I had to convert the size from Australian to USA. One question, though: I intend to wear them as casual boots, but walking in them on concrete and asphalt surfaces. I've worn them a few time, just walking to the local store and the stitching in the sole is already wearing. Do I need to get a rubber type wear sole glued on to increase the life of the leather soles? Thanks again and looking forward to your response. Henry in Melbourne Australia December 6, 2012

    However the stitching in the sole is wearing thin. Is the stitching important and if so, what shall I do?

    Have you called Sheplers at all to ask about your case? I have the same boots and have worn them out probably about 5-8 times, though, never working or anything, just walking on the street/inside a building and they seem to be fine. As for how important the stitching is, I'm not sure on that one. I had to call CS once or twice and they seem to be real nice. So, if you give them a call, I would think they would try to help you out.
