Rated 3 out of 5 by Still got heel quality issues 3rd pair of these so far and on each pair the (internal) heal has completely failed, with protective lining tearing and then structural panel collapsing and breaking down. Though I would have learnt by now, but alas. Still comfy, but low integrity on build quality. You get what you pay for...... September 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots Extremely comfortable, even during initial wearing. Boots look great. August 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite boots This is my third or fourth pair of these boots. I buy a pair, wear out the soles, get them re-soled, and then wear them some more until the uppers wear out, and then order another pair. They are my go-to every day boots. I love them. August 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Justin Classsic Roper Boots Right For Me I had to stop wearing regular heel western boots several years ago because of knee problems. These lower heel boots and the good fit have let me return to wearing the boots I love. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. July 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic American Boot Great boot. Great price. Comfortable right out of the box, look good and made in the USA, I couldn't ask for more. The sizing is comparable to that of most dress shoes. April 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot for a narrow foot.. I usually have a hard time finding a boot that will fit my narrow foot. This boots fits great. Recommend to any with an a or b width. February 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good boot for the price The boots fitted perfect and look good as well people have asked where they come from January 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fitting boots Thanks for my first pair of cowboy boot. They met all my expectations and they fit perfectly, even though I had to convert the size from Australian to USA. One question, though: I intend to wear them as casual boots, but walking in them on concrete and asphalt surfaces. I've worn them a few time, just walking to the local store and the stitching in the sole is already wearing. Do I need to get a rubber type wear sole glued on to increase the life of the leather soles? Thanks again and looking forward to your response. Henry in Melbourne Australia December 6, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by How do you spell "perfect" In this case it is Justin size 8E! Just got my Bay Apache Classic Ropers. U.S. made on proper sized lasts and I could not be happier! Well, that is unless someone decided to offer more boots in "E" width. (Note to Shepler's and Justin, that's a hint!) August 8, 2012

However the stitching in the sole is wearing thin. Is the stitching important and if so, what shall I do?

Have you called Sheplers at all to ask about your case? I have the same boots and have worn them out probably about 5-8 times, though, never working or anything, just walking on the street/inside a building and they seem to be fine. As for how important the stitching is, I'm not sure on that one. I had to call CS once or twice and they seem to be real nice. So, if you give them a call, I would think they would try to help you out.
