Because of the boot cut, they have a slimming appearance and the relaxed fit in the thighs make them extremely comfortable to wear. I am disappointed that Levi's have discontinued the 550 line. Shepler's was the only place I could find them in my size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kats10 i like the jeans but in my opinion they are not the real 550 jeans. they are not low cut and the boot cut is not the same. And they were dark blue not the indigo. They fit fine thats why i did not send them back but i would not buy them again.

I bought a pair of these jeans a few years back and loved how they fit me. They hugged my backside nicely and were very flattering. They had the exact same labeling as these jeans and I was so excited to find them. I was disappointed, however, when these did not fit at all the same. They are much larger and baggier. In fact, I have now bought several of these jeans(from different sources) with the exact same label (5 pair to be exact) and none of them fit the same as any other. I have several colors and wonder if that is the cause of such drastic differences. All that being said, they hold up really well. The rise is nice because it is not too short and not too long. I am a size 18M and like how they make me look slimmer. Some jeans make a plus-size bottom look even bigger. These jeans do not do that. In fact, I have had several compliments on how they make my backside look and not just from my husband!

I am a pear shape, size 6, flat abdomen. My waist is 12" smaller than my hips. Therefore, I have a VERY difficult time finding jeans that fit, as almost everything is humongous in the waist if I get it to fit my hips. These are my first pair of Levis since I was a teenager (I'm 44). I was attracted by the "relaxed" description. I ordered one size larger than usual because I'd heard Levis run small. This worked well for me. The waist is a bit too big, but I have resigned myself to never finding any jeans that will fit perfectly for my shape. Overall they fit the best that I have found so far for a modern boot cut jean. I am 5'5" and the 32" inseam is perfect for me.

These are great jeans. The fit is very flattering.
My only complaint is that the black pair is a magnet for lint, threads and cat fur. Perhaps an anti-static treatment will help. Otherwise, I will have to carry a lint brush or Scotch Tape.

I wear my jeans at least three times a week and I love them. I will continue to order from sheplers for many years to come.
