The 33 waist from Wrangler, however, was WAY TOO SMALL; not even close to a size 33 from another brand. I would not buy Wranglers on-line unless you know for sure what size you are in Wrangler world.     Can I wear a 38X30

    I have been wearing relaxed fit 31MWZ 36X32 will a 38X30 in 13MWZ fit?

    No. This is not a zero sum math problem. The first set of digits is your waist size. The second set of digits is your inseam. So unless you gained a few pounds around the waist and either got shorter or have decided the flood is coming, probably they will not fit you well. The other problem is that the rise and taper are different in 13MWZ than the 31MWZ. The waist band of the jeans might not be in a comfortable location and the thighs may not feel the same. Some where Wrangler has a chart that lists all of the dimensions for every style and size; however, I only ever saw it in a tack shop years ago. But as always with clothing, if you are unsure, try it on to either confirm or disprove your suspicions.

    While the 31MWZ and the 13MWZ have different fits, I would not suggest ordering a completely different size. The inseam should fit the same. The 31MWZ is cut with a roomier seat and thigh than 13MWZ Wrangler jeans.

    If you need a longer inseam, the 13MWZ tall comes in a 38". For a larger waist size, you may try a 31" or 32" (up to 40")
