Several pairs had to be back ordered (still waiting on one pair) which was fine since wedding isn't until August.     Rated 4 out of 5 by II really like these boots! Boots are very comfortable and broke in quickly. Heel is perfect.. a little higher than many boots like this, which I like. My only real complaint is at the toe, the leather has peeled away and seems extremely thin. I found these same boots on another website, which listed the boots as being made of burnished synthetic leather. Man made materials? I still love the boots but was a bit disappointed with the way they are wearing. December 30, 2012

    Personally I have found them to run large as much as 1.5 sizes large. Others have told me they are true to fit. The only thing I find with Durango is that they offer an arch support in the boot that if your foot is not exact the boot will not fit properly. I would try on a pair prior to ordering, it would be an expensive ship back several times if the boot or boot pairs do not fit properly.

    well i bought 2 pair online both Durango brands, purchased same day same size. One fits perfectly, size 10M and the other pair is a little loose, but 2 pair of socks can fix that. So I would recomend looking at reviews for each different style of boot you buy. The Durango Crush floral embrodery fit perfect, the durango crush heart cut out in black is a little loose in the heel.

    At this time Durango has allocated this boot to be in a D width. Sometimes you can order the next size up and make up the width difference, this would depend on what size your foot is getting into now and where it falls on the width range on the chart.

    sizing and postage

    Just wondering about sizing, according to your sizing calculator as a womens size 9 in Australia I should be ordering a 10 1/2 US but usually the shoes sizes between the US and Australia are almost the same (sneakers for instance are the same) Just wondering if this is a unique sizing thing for western style boots??
    Also I saw on another style boot's Q&A that the Ariat boots are not able to be posted to Australia, is this still the case and is it only that particular type of boot or is it all boots (i.e are these boots above able to be posted to Australia?)

    If you have never worn cowboy boots before order your regular AU size shoe. If that is an AU boot size then order 1/2 size larger. For the shipping question please contact customer service to find out what is the handling for shipping to Australia at this time. Shipping policies can change from time to time and the website cannot necessarily be updated to reflect the current status as it happens. Sometimes within shipping the type of leather used is prohibited by local laws and that could be a reason why the boots cannot be shipped.

    Australian sizing is about 1/2 different than a US size, so an AUS size 9 would be an approximate US size 9.5. Please keep in mind that this is only a guideline, and I cannot guarantee what size will be needed.

    Each manufacturer offers a shaft equivalent to the size and width of the boot. If you have had trouble in the past with a width problem, then you may either need to order a 1/2 size down and a wider width to make up the shaft or get the tops stretched out to accommodate the calves. I would check with a shoe repair near you to see if they will stretch the shaft for you if needed. Also note once you stretch the boot it would void the warranty so make sure there are no defects in the boot prior to stretching.

    Meganski. My calves are almost 20" around and these boots fit just fine. If you have large calves do not order boots longer than 10" in length. The longer the length of the boot the higher it will go up the calf (toward the knee and toward the largest circumference of the calf). These boots fit mid-way up the calf, not even close to the knee. Hope that helps.
