Our Dan Post boots are crafted of genuine Teju lizard - a distinctive lizard found in the jungles of South and Central America. Teju lizard leather provides a beautiful, high-luster skin for exotic boots. Also known as the "alligator lizard", Teju lizard skin has a dressy, yet durable finish for versatile wear. Dan Post handcrafts this western boot with a genuine Teju lizard leather foot under a fancy stitched 13" smooth leather shaft. Supple leather lining. Moisture-wicking, comfort cradle leather footbed cover. Three-part insole allows flex at the ball of the foot and stability in the heel and arch. Patented Poron microbial system reduces foot odor, step shock, and provides energy return. Single stitched 3/4 welt. 1 3/8" cowboy heel. Classic pointed toe profile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan Post teju lizard boots I have been wearing the Dan Post boots now for about 15 years, I generaly purchase either the lizard or ostrich. I purchase the same size and I always get a good fit. I have one pair of ostrich that are at least 12 years and they wear so very good. I think I have had them resoled two times. I would and do recommend these boots.I am very much pleased with my purchase October 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good looking boots These boots were beautiful and just what I wanted. The size was correct, but unfortunately, when I put my feet into both boots, there was pressure on my big toes. I walked and walked in them on carpet to see if they would "break in", but they did not so I had to return them. Since I had other boots that did the same thing, I knew better than to keep trying. I don't think everyone will have this problem. It may just be my foot since this is not the first time it's happened. Again, they were beautiful boots and I was sorry to have to return them. Had they fit, they would have been a great value. September 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Average Product The boots arrived smelling very strongly of die and perhaps glue. Foot portion of the boot, both left and right not sewn in a centered fashion to the sole, both lean in to the inside. Looks like they were made in a hurry. September 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fit and Size This boot runs really wide. I sent them back and ordered another pair to see if it was just one pair of boots or if they all run wide? July 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful boot !! This is by far the most beautiful pair of boots I have ever owned , comfortable too . Very well made , shine like a diamond in antique tan !! The only con: the inner soles curled up and eventually came loose, new inner soles solved this problem !! May 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A classic! Beautiful looking, well made and extremely comfortable. Thank heaven Dan Post still makes a boot with a good looking toe, not to pointy and (thankfully) not square. March 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very pleased with look. Looks great, runs a little big in size. Took a long time to receive. Back ordered twice. Took almost 3 months to receive my boots. They are nice enough to wear anywhere. Placed a pair of insoles inside and size was taken care of. March 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Black lizard skin cowboy boots turning the heads of the lovely ladies. My first pair of cowboy boots, and man are they all so stylish. Eagerly awaiting their arrival (ordered from website, and received in five business days) I was utterly amazed on how fast my purchase arrived at my backdoor. Then I opened the box. All I can say is wow! The absence of color (midnight black) shined brighter than the moon that night. For a few minutes I was frozen in a semi comatose state of majestic admiration of such a beautiful creation (my new boots). A couple recovering minutes had passed in awe; gaining my thoughts I put them on. I felt taller and then my feet melted into the clouds of cushion they possess (my cowboy boots). Never owning a pair of such comfort and style, it was easy to convert to the wild side. The next day I dressed in a: black long sleeved shirt embroidered with paisleys, a pair of light blue-sky colored boot cut jeans, and my obsidian Dan Post lizard skin pointed-toe cowboy boots; then proceeded to the Joslyn Art Museum. Than the smiles began and the rest is the future. January 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic pair of lizards This is my first pair of lizards to add to my exotic boot collection, which includes a pair of ostrich and stingray. Dan post always has just the right size for my rather wide feet. They are very comfortable. My only gripe was the right boot was tighter around the calf than the left boot. After a week of wearing them to break them in, they fit perfectly. The color I bought was the dark cherry, which really looks more like a black with just a hint of color when the lights hit them. Very elegant. Thank you Dan Post January 14, 2013
