Rated 5 out of 5 by Gambler Cowboy Boots. Excellent boots for the price. Typically well built Dan Post quality. Have worn Dan Posts for years and have never had an issue with any of them. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Style Very nice boots I own several Dan Post boots and like them very much. But the color in the photo on line and actual color of the boots is not even close.I still like them. April 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Could not find this boot locally. Sheplers had it and delivered it on time. Great boot and great look. April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan Post Gambler boot Been wearing cowboy boots for some 40+ years and of all the hundreds of boots out there not many catch my eyes. These Gamblers are some of the koolest looking boots I've seen. They don't even need to be broken in. They felt fine the first time I wore them. I even bought a second pair because they may not have them anymore. August 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 Very nice looking boots Really like the boots, they look great. The only complaints I have are: 1. the leather insole is beginning to come lose and pull away from the sole in the right boot after only wearing them three times which I will have to have reattached or the peice of leather will begin to curl up and make the boots uncomfortable to wear. 2. the opening and the tops for the boots are a little skinnier than my other Dan Post boots making them difficult to get off. Other than those two I love the boots, they fit nicely, they are comfortable and the quality seems to be very high. August 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Looking, Great Fit Purchased a D width, boot seems to run true to size which means they are slightly larger than my Narrower fit but just put on a heavier sock and they're perfect. Have had lots of compliments on the boot both style and color combination. I've worn mostly Justins but this Dan Post is a very nice boot. January 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Christmas Hit! I got these for my husband for Christmas and he loved them. He's been wanting some flashy cowboy boots for years and these were perfect. He's only worn them a few times so far, but they seem to be high quality and comfortable. December 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by The boots are xetremely comfortable; no break in required. December 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by seriously cool Son bought these.. They are seriously cool boots. Shaft is bone colour with chocolate wingtip, both colours as expected. Size and width normal. Son loves them, and so does everybody else, and they all want to know where they can get some. He is sure they will be chick-pullers. It took less than 5 days to get from Witchita to New Zealand - impressive, The USA are the kings of mail-order. Thanks Sheplers September 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Completely Satisfied Great looking boots. Fit is good and quality outstanding. May 12, 2011

The height of the heel

I prefer heels with some height and was hoping to learn the height of this heel as measured from the interior face of the heel.

Answer:
I have researched this boot on both Sheplers and Dan Post website and this boot does not exist. I believe that the style has been retired and is no longer in production or it was an exclusive offer that was only promoted by Sheplers for a very short period of time and once stock was gone it is gone. If you can choose another hand crafted boot they can possibly order it in a higher heel like Nocona or Lucchese Boots. Once you decide on a style you like, call in to the operator and see if they will special order that particular boot for you in a higher heel.
