Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort Well the boot is completely beautiful and delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Doesn't Look Like the Picture, AT ALL The boot felt true to size, was comfortable, but doesn't look at all like the photo. I was anticipating a lighter tan toe and it wasn't. Had a purse to match and everything. It is a nice looking boot and very attractive, just doesn't look like the photo. October 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Boots Just received my new boots and I love them, love them, love them! They may run 1/2 a size large but are extremely comfortable. So very happy with them, but uk buyers don't forget you have to pay import tax on delivery. In this case a whopping £50. Still worth every penny. October 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful boot True to size, very soft leather, comfortable other than no arch support. Somewhat darker than the pic appears. October 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful boot compliments every time I wear them and so comfortable! October 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bliss These boots are impeccable! Pure Adoration! Fit was spot one, They look like a Zillion bucks..And whenever I have them on ..they are my version of Ruby Slippers!! Yeah.... I love these boots! Sheplers Rocks! Thanks much, Kristen. October 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by beautiful but sized large These boots are awesome-looking but they run a size large. I have normal width toes and a narrow heel and had to return them. Not even thick socks would help. Will exchange for next size down. September 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not true to size I read the reviews and ordered my size and when they came they were way too big. I had to send back for a smaller size and was charged for return shipping. September 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stunning Boots These boots are absolutely stunning, the blue/turquoise is not as bright IRL as it shows on the photos. They will be able to be worn in summer months with a dress or skirt and look stunningly cute but also as winter boot with jeans. As a purchase from the UK the only thing I have found is that US sizes are a little bigger than ours so I would suggest probably going a half size down. I purchased an 8 which should have been equivalent to a 5.5 but think it is more of a uk size 6, but no worries im just buying some thick socks an an insole and my next purchase will be half size down. September 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my boots! I absolutely love my boots. I am an Aussie so was unsure regarding the sizing but ordered my size 10 and they fit fine. I love the colour and the style. I have rather thick calves and they fit, not too snug as I wear the boots over my skinny leg jeans. August 14, 2013

    Boot size conversion

I really love these boots and want to buy them but I'm nervous about boot size conversion (live in Australia). I have a 25 cm foot (9.8 inches). I own a pair of Ariat round toe cowgirl boots which are US size 7.5 C and Eur size 38 W. The Ariats are a very comfy snug fit but I definitely wouldn't go any tighter. Please help as I just love these boots!

    Answer:
Hi. My mother in law recently bought a pair of Ariat snip toe boots in size 7.5 and fit perfectly. She wears size 7 in shoes, but 7.5 in boots either round toe or snip toe. So, according to your 9.8 inches from heel to toe, I would suggest a size 7.5 US for you. A seven would be too snug and 8 too large because I wear an 8 and my boot measures 10.1 cm from heel to toe comfortably, that's 5 cm more. so, my honest opinion is 7.5 for you and probably enough room for a thin sock. A size 8 would be too big. Hope this helps:) I noticed your question is 5 months old, hope someone was able to help you!

    Gday there :)
I totally know... when I fell in luv with these boots, I was so nervous about the sizings esp as returning them is so expensive.
    Im a 9.5 but norm a 10 Aussie size...25.5cms long and 10cm wide.
The size 10US does fit beautifully...I may have fitted into a 9.5 (as I have one foot half a size smaller than the other)..but then, I couldnt guarantee how they wouldve been with socks??
Coudlnt find anywhere in OZ that had these boots in this style...let alone anywhere near this price! Also..Sheplers postage was wicked fast!! A coupla working days!!!
    Hope this helps x

I am also from Australia and I struggled with the same problem and thought id risk it, I am so glad i did! I love these boots and they fit perfectly. I am also a EUR 38 and a size 7M in Ariat boots with the snip toe and so ordered the same(US7M) for these boots and they fit much the same. Maybe if you are still worried you could try on a snip toe Ariat boot and order the same size, i hope this helps.

    Answer:
    Hello,

I can't blame you for being nervous, but perhaps I can help a bit? I, myself have wide feet as well, however, I also have a narrow heel. I own several pairs of Ariat-which are known to run wider- and though I am a 6.5, I buy a 7. My wide little feet can't fit past the shaft of a 6.5, but my heel has quite a bit of "wiggle" in the heel of the boot in a 7. It's just the way my feet are and I'm too impatient to have something custom or special ordered. So my advice to you:

If an Ariat US size 7.5 is comfy but snug, and these Dan Posts are a pointed toe and not square toed, I would go up to a US size 8 or perhaps 8.5. I would also gather that you will not be wearing these pretty boots mucking out horse stalls or even riding horseback, so if the worst is they are a little loose #which could be concerning if you were participating in the latter#, just don a pair of thick socks and keep your feet warm while you wear them. Happy Shopping!

    Answer:
I didn't measure these, but I will tell you they are slightly larger than other Dan Posts. I have super skinny legs and usually default to Dan Post as they fit my calves the best. These do show under some rather snug Miss Me boot cut jeans, especially when I walk. But in my opinion gorgeous boot like this are better worn with shorts or dresses anyway. Still worth it!

Shaft measures 6 inches widest across, so double is 12" shaft. Since mid calf boots, they are a generous width. Hope this helps!

    Answer:
Hmm, this is an interesting question. I have 8 pairs of boots that are high-shafted as well as several pairs of boot-cut jeans. I also don't have skinny calves as mine are rather muscular. I have never had the concern you are asking about. Without knowing what brand your jeans are or what kind of denim they are made of-which may be something to consider-I would gather that perhaps the problem lies with the jeans chosen when the boots are worn? Truly, ma'am, it's only a guess as I cannot see you. With that being said, I would highly recommend Wrangler Booty-Up Jeans or any western jean that Sheplers sells as all of them are made to wear with boots. Hope it helps and happy shopping!

    High Instep

I have a very high instep and often have problems with not being able to get my foot down into a boot if the throat is too narrow. Has anyone had that difficulty with these boots? Would love to buy them but am nervous.

    Answer:
Hi. I also have problems with getting some other boots on because of my instep, especially a pair of corrals I bought online, so beautiful I made them slip in, then they were comfy, so I bought a boot remover tool for $10. But, in all honestly, I wear a size 8 in almost all boots, these were no exception, and I was so happy and surprised at how easily these slipped on. I have read other reviews, but to me, these fit true to size and have even stretched a tiny bit. All our feet are different of course, but just wanted to say I had ease in slipping these in. Hope this helps Good Luck!

    Answer:
If you order the next wider width on Dan Post Boots, then it will accommodate the high instep. I have a friend that cannot buy cowboy boots because he stated that he has an instep that is really high and when I slipped my boots on him he stated that these were the best fitting boots he ever was able to try on.

    Color?

Is the color on your website the true color of the boot. I've seen several pictures on different websites and the boots range from the lighter color you have pictured to much darker.

Hi. The color on the website will vary according to different monitors. but, it is alot lighter than the actual colors. The antique brown is much darker and the blue hues are much more vibrant than website. This boot has alot of beautiful color to it. And each one is crafted individually; so each pair is same yet unique. Hope this helps!:)

I believe the color on the website looks a bit lighter on the blue shades. I bought mine in the store and since each boot is made individually, no two pair are alike but I believe the colors are a bit darker and more vibrant than the website. hope this helps:)

    Answer:
These are regular leather roughout styling, with inlay designing. There are some boots by Dan Post and by Lucchese that are made from goatskin, these may come at a premium based on how the market for the leather is. The shaft unless stated is made of leather, there may be a manmade lining inside the shaft for comfort or for rigidness to maintain the looks of the boot. Toe is described in description and heel is standard cowgirl height heel.
