bought for use in summer sun. it will work perfect.
Would give 5 stars if Shep's would have used a box big enough for hat. Hat's brim on one side is folded up due to hat being crammed into box too small for this big brimmed hat.

Absolutely loved it!! Perfect fit and a big hit at the deer lease. All other lease members were envious and will soon have one of their own.

I bought this hat for my wife during the summer. It's well made, keeps the sun off as it needs to while working or while riding. Lastly, it's a good looking straw hat. She's pleased with it , so am I!

Well made. Distinctive. Causes Yankees to either stare or laugh hysterically. So, useful. Very good sun protection- which is my main reason for buying it.

This hat is not only very stylish, it is very functional. I have had more complements on my Pancho Gus, and the first thing people want to know is where I got it. Great service and a great product, two pluses in a row, that's awesome baby.

This hat is great for sun protection. Very stylish and get a lot of positive comments. It is gender neutral. It's great to live in a place where there are no rules for certain fashion fabrics. Can wear year round and made to handle it. Already a favorite. Great price also. Only one small, small problem is sweatband. Doesn't look or feel like leather but, in the sun most any hat needs help with the sweatband. If I could find again at this price in my size I would buy to have a spare. True to size. Comfortable!

I've been looking for a wide brim hat (this one is 4 1/2 inches) to wear when working in the summer sun of mid-Florida. This is it. It feels a little heavy because if its size, but I'd wear it all day if I needed to.

Just,a couple hours ago,bought this style hat at Sheplers in Wichita,KS.
Wore it from there to my home,Moundridge,Ks. About one hour in air condition car and sweat was running in my eyes. On closer exemption the sweat band appears to be made from plastic.
Have had a hat this shape before with real leather sweatband and it was good shade,did not get it or this one to look cool but to be cool.
On sheplers website say this hat has leather sweatband,but it appears to be from one of them plastic cows. It will be returned.

Really great hat. Fits well. The chin strap absolutely keeps it on no matter how fast I am riding or how hard the wind is blowing.
