what is size D & EE?

the last boot size i had was 10EE,it was very comfortable. so size D is what? smaller,bigger?

Answer: 
D refers to width and it is a smaller width. Sometimes if you graduate up a 1/2 or full size you can get more room in a smaller width boot to make up for the proper size. Also note that because you order a smaller width that the opening for your foot may be a bit smaller.

Dear Kgibbs1969,
Standard width for a man's boot is "D" width. Wide width is labeled "EE" or "EW". These boots may be too tight in a D.
