In 1990, Ariat co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for horseback riders. The two masterminds behind the Ariat legend knew that traditional riding boots weren't very well suited for horse riding. Riding boots were rigid, heavy, and took a toll on the feet.

I really enjoy my new Boots. I usually take size 11 but ordered 10 because of the comments I saw on your site about the Boots running big. The length and width are perfect, however due to a sports injury I have a bone that sticks up a little on the top of my right foot that was causing me pain while wearing the Boots. I had a shoe store put a stretcher in the Boots for $20. They stretched the top of each boot so my arthritic feet could slide in them easier. I now wear them as my main footwear! They feel great!!! Thx,

I bought these Boots a few weeks ago in the Timber colour, immediately after getting them I put them and didn't take them off for hours. They are a fantastic colour, and they are so so comfortable. I just went away for the weekend and did tons and tons of walking, my feet didn't hurt at all thanks to these boots! I would very much recommend them, they are great. I haven't had the chance to take them riding yet, but I'm sure they'll be wonderful for that as well. Plus they look great with everything so far.
My first pair of Ariat Boots, but certainly certainly won't be my last!

I knew i wanted Boots with red roses. I looked at tons of products on line, and when I saw these, there was no more looking. There was only one pair left--a 6.5. I usually wear a size six, but ordered anyway, because I liked them so much. I was not disappointed. The half -size bigger was just what I needed. The Boots fit perfectly. I will wear these Boots for many years to come and am so pleased with the design, fit and workmanship. They came very quickly after ordering with no problems. Thank you for such a fine product. This is the first set of Cowboy Boots that I have owned since childhood. My in-laws moved to Texas last year and on a visit out there they convinced me that they looked good on me. I didn't buy them and returned to GA. For Christmas of 2011 guess what came in the mail from the in-laws:-)
I waited a little over a year to review these Boots because I wanted to get a good idea of how they would age. Let me tell you that they have only gotten better with the age. They already come distressed, but a year of wear really helps them out if they are properly cared for. I have had them covered in mud, ankle deep in water and they have held up great. The sheplers boot conditioner and waterproofing has helped a lot in maintaining the original look and performance.
This will be the first of many purchases!

Just purchased my second pair of these great Boots. Not that the first pair were worn out....not even close. They are just so comfortable and good looking I had to have another pair! Did I mention how comfortable they are? No break-in required. Soft and supple right out of the box. These are the only Boots I've ever owned that don't need to be taken off as soon as I hit the front door at the end of the day. Try 'em, you'll love 'em!

Worn these Boots everyday since arrival about 3 weeks ago, they are extremely comfortable. No wearing in, just great straight off the shelf. Wasn't sure about what size to order from previous reviews and in the end ordered my usual shoe size and it's perfect. If I wanted to wear thick socks though, I would order 1/2 size bigger than my usual shoe size.
Super fast shipping to NZ. Second purchase from Sheplers and can't fault the service.
Have had one other brand of boot, and they were great, but the Ariat Ropers are even better.
