Ariat exclusive ATS technology supports and cushions as you move, promoting good posture and reducing fatigue. At the core of ATS technology is the Ariat ATS composite shank. This patented shank design reduces skeletal and muscular fatigue and injury. Mid-foot support reduces metatarsal stress. The forked shank design allows natural forefoot flex. The ATS footbed has a low-friction surface to protect from heat build-up and blistering. Shock-absorbing gel forefoot cushion reduces skeletal impact stress on knees, hips, and lower back. Cupped footbed chassis offers torsional stability. Women's Presidio boot features a chocolate brown leather foot under a high-fashion 13" matching leather shaft. Attractive tan-tone inlet accents. Single stitched welt. Leather lining. 1.625" heel. Fashion pinch toe. Imported.

I understand that some boots have different letters next to their sizes, like "B" or "E" or even "EE", I don't understand what this means. I have a hard time trying to fit my foot without trying on boots and I want to make sure I know what I'm doing so I can eliminate the factor of having to send them back as much as possible. I have a narrow to average foot width and I wear a size 8 1/2 in carolina work boots. I read a review on the chocolate ariat presidio cowgirl boots with the pointed toe, that said this specific boot does run wide.

Olly8098,
Standard width for a woman's boot is "B" width (which may be labeled "M" for "Medium" width). Narrow width is labeled "A". Wide width is labeled "C". Standard width for a man's boot is "D" width. Narrow width is labeled "B". Wide width is labeled "EE" or "EW".

Height of the boot

I am about 5'4, and probably a 8 1/2 or size 9. I am wondering how tall the boot would be on my calf approx.. I am looking for one to hit right under my knee cap. I saw the height of the heel, but how many inches from heel to the top of the boot? Thanks

Answer:
The shaft measures 13 inches. You can measure your leg, but I do not believe this boot will quite reach your knee cap.
