I ordered these for my daughter's birthday, she had seen them online and asked for them. In the photo on-line the upper leather looks like the foot leather so when I opened the box I was shocked to see shiny PATENT leather in a slightly lighter brown color. I assume that is why the one reviewer said it was a little tacky. There is alot of stitching which is nice, it takes up alot of the shiny leather area. I don't know if she will like them though, we will see when she comes over this weekend.

I bought these boots for everyday wear. I have a slightly wide foot and they fit perfect. They are extremely comfortable. The upper is a little tacky looking but I always wear them under my jeans so that didn't bother me at all.
