my boots were to tight and i wondered why unti i read the side of the box...apparently a 12E (which I ordered) is a 12D in CANADA and so I actually got a 12D....so TOO tight and waste of time....need to let your customers know of size difference

Should have read better. Do not like rubber soles. Shine on boots in picture was not in real life.

I loved opening the box and seeing exactly what I was after. Wore them the first day and on the bus home a woman wanted to know what stunk. My shoes had a barn leather aroma. I'm part to blame from the sweaty feet, but none of my shoes which I rotate come anywhere near. Then the inside heal piece slides with daily walking. Second time wearing them, I now feel the nails tugging at my socks in the heals. Real shame is, I was so happy when I got them I order another, different design, and here I am again. won't buy anymore or recommend them to my worst enemy, well maybe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oldranger I have a crushed left ankle and that is why I must wear a boot with a zipper. I only wish that someone would make a western boot with a 10 or 12 inch top with a zipper. I know it can be done because I have seen them in the long ago. The boots are well built. A little pricey but that is expected today. The boots are quite nice and really fit good and tight. That helps support my bad ankle. Thanks.

These half boots are great. They feel broken in from the moment you first put them on. Size is perfect, for me at least. They are not as stylish as the Goatskin zipper boots from the same Abilene company, but you won't be disappointed. Great fit, supple leather, good looks.

Morgs These are some seriously cool boots!
I got these boots because I like cowboy boots and I also prefer to wear skinny jeans. These are the perfect boot for that, with indie mod cred, some cool detail and the leather distresses nicely to give them that vintage look.
I got them in Chocolate Brown, and the colour looks a tiny bit different from the pictures. They can look a little on the burgundy side of chocolate brown but that's not a problem. They look great with black skinnies as well as light blue denim.
I got a size 12D because I have pretty large feet. To fit into normal cowboy boots with a shaft (without a shoehorn) I have to get size 13D and insert heel grips and an insole. With the zip I was able to get a 12D which then looks sleeker.
Very cool!
